Meet: Caitlin Ombres
How do I begin to describe this lovely lady?
Well first, I’d like to tell you that Caity is not an actual bride. She is a photography student at Stockton college of New Jersey. She’ll be graduating later this month! Congrats Caity!
Secondly, I’d like to tell you that she is one of my interns! So why is she in a wedding dress you might ask?
When Caity applied for the internship her resume mentioned something about one of her images being featured in the CD jacket of a popular band Atreyu. While reading her application aloud at my computer one day, Steve overheard me trying to pronounce “At—reahh—you?” and he said, “WHAT? WAIT – SHE LIKES ATREYU? – YOU HAVE TO MEET WITH HER!” Apparently Steve was a big fan of this alternative metal band, so she already had big points with him.
But it didn’t stop there, Caity’s name also came up when discussing applicants with my trusty sidekick, Sonya, and at the mention of her name Sonya said “WHAT? WAIT – CAITY OMBRES? I KNOW HER! – YOU *HAVE* TO MEET WITH HER! She’s *your* kind of people Angie, you’d love her”.
And Sonya was right. And so was Steve. Which is why I listen to them both. A lot. 🙂
Caity has been a tremendous asset to this company. She’s a dedicated and hard worker and has learned a lot and in a short amount of time. It’s hard to image that she’ll be graduating VERY soon and starting her own career in this ever changing industry. I can only pray that I’ve helped her as much as she’s helped me these past few months. We’ve had a lot of fun together and are planning a pseudo cross country train trip – albeit someday!
OK – so why the outfit?
Well, when the opportunity for a photoshoot arose at the Southern Mansion in Cape May with Couture designer Leslie Cox and about 10 photographers from all over the Tri-State area, I thought the best place for her to be was in front of the 10 professional and seasoned photographers, as a model, instead of along side them as an intern jockeying for position to try and get a shot. As a model, she had a wonderful opportunity to learn posing, verbal direction, and how to rub goosebumps off of skin to minimize photoshop time! And let’s face it, she’s stunning, and who wouldn’t want to photograph her!
Not to mention, she has a tiny 24 inch waist and was the only one in New Jersey that could fit into the custom couture wedding gown. Much to designer, Leslie Cox’s delight when she teared up seeing it on Caity for the first time. She really made that dress come alive.
Wishing you the best of luck in your bright future Ms. Caity! Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do! 🙂

Leslie Cox - Wow. Caity was beautiful and that was the first time anyone had ever put that gown on. I was so thrilled to be a part of that shoot and meet so many talented ladies. Hope we can all meet up again some time and do something as wonderful.
Caity Ombres - Wow! Thank you Ang! Made me tear up as well. <3
Beverly Ombres - Way to make me cry Miss Angie. That was a beautiful testament to Caity. She is special and it is so awesome to have someone other than her family appreciate the person she is. Thank you for all you have done with her and for her. You are also a special lady. God Bless
Barbara Bruno Wolf - beautiful!
Kathy Bryan Azar - Love both your blog and Miss Caity! She was a blast to photograph. The camera LOVES her and she’s a natural model, beautiful inside and out.
