I am so excited to be serving as one of the leaders at the upcoming Delight Retreat in Virginia this April!!! If you have not heard of Delight, their mission is this:
Our desire is to enable young women in the creative arts and pursue their God-given talents while also helping them define what it means to be a woman of purpose. What began as a vision for young women who want to use their gifts and talents in photography has become a passion to bring truth, hope and healing to young ladies. We’re about being real, raw and relevant: whatever you are facing, others have been there too. You will find a community filled with stories of grace, redemption and mercy. You’ll find inspiration to help you grow not only in your talent, but also in your faith!
What an amazing organization helping teenage girls to find their path and purpose through their creative talents! This is not just for aspiring photographers, but open to any teenage young lady 14-20 who is pursuing the creative arts. Including but not limited to culinary, visual, or performance arts. There are community groups forming across the country, and the online community is growing daily.
This is the second year Delight has offered a retreat to young ladies ages 16-20. The vision of the retreats is designed to invest in you, as daughters of our Heavenly Father, creatives, dreamers, and entrepreneurs. It’s about encouraging you, strengthening you, and equipping you to go out and change the world through your unique and incomparable talent, imagination and creativity.
This year there will be two retreats, an East Coast one in Virginia, and a West Coast one is Washington State. If you are a young female creative entrepreneur, I hope you’ll consider joining me in Virginia.
I am thrilled that Erin & Kristin invited me to be a part of this event and I couldn’t be more excited to see the group of women that are being drawn together from all over the country. I hope that what they see in me is a benefit to at least one and that I can properly fulfill my role as a “leader” to these young ladies.
