So….last weekend we took a trip to Cold Springs Village in Cape May, NJ. More on our Cape May trip in another post, but for now I wanted to share something SUPER special! You’ll want to go step by step and read carefully on this one folks.
I just upgraded my camera body so I decided to try it out and play around a bit. I saw this cool wagon. I took a pic. But, it’s boring. It’s high noon and there was nothing really interesting about it so I decided to come around back, crouch low, try to back light it, overexpose it a bit and just create a little drama instead.
So then I got this picture. Meh….it’s okay. Nothing to sell to Time Magazine, but the point was to just get to know my new camera a little bit. So I stood up and fired off another shot as I was setting up for something else.
So then I took this one. No funky flare but just a regular shot to test my focus a bit. When I was viewing it I noticed this peculiar little walnut thing hanging from the wagon. So I came in for a closer look.
As my children and husband were froliking around the farmland behind me, I came in for a closer look. I thought humpf…isn’t that an INTERESTING bit of something. I wonder what that could be?
Hmmm….I should get a pull back shot of this “thing” so I can really recall it’s proportions to the wagon later when I am reveling in it’s marvelousness.
BAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! WAITTTTT WHAT IN THE>>>>>> OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!! IS THAT A FREAKING – UGH – WHAT THE !!#$#@#$&^%
OH no biggie. It’s only a freak of nature gigantic ALIEN SPIDER with a SKULL TATTOO on it’s BACK! And those marvelous walnut sized SACKS are its SPAWNS of NASTINESS. YUCK! For whatever reason the good Lord has me facing my greatest fears a LOT lately and has decided to send me every nasty giant spider these past few weeks. Covering my car, outside my window, next to my front door. Just about every where I go this year. But THIS? THIS ONE? REALLY I didn’t even know such a creature even existed in this world.
As I quietly and carefully approached the alien being, mustering up every ounce of courage I had to get close enough to take this picture. My darling husband thought it would be funny to nudge me and say BOO!
Hardy Har my darling, hardy har.
Karsten Cambron - Awsome shot of the spider.
Steve Urban - Oh what a tangled web we weave.. 🙂
